Resident Assistants

The Resident Assistant (RA) position is a student employee position within the Department of Housing and Residence Life which works as a member of a residence hall staff.

Community Directors

The Community Director serves as a live-in leader and general caretaker for students in the residence hall.

Desk Coordinators

An Area Desk Coordinator ensures the implementation of consistent desk operations to meet the needs of residents and guests at all on-campus housing front desks.

Desk Clerks

The Desk Clerk helps students address minor issues and other customer service needs.

The custodians keep public areas of the building clean. Custodians report to the Custodial Supervisors.

Facility Assistants

The Facilities Assistant (FA) primary responsibility is for the care and maintenance of the residence hall interior spaces.

Housing Ambassadors 

The Housing Ambassadors primary responsibility is to inform and aid current and prospective students and their families through recruitment and customer service.

Housing Counselor

Housing works with Counseling and Testing Services to have a counselor imbedded in the residence halls, the counselor has an office in Maple Hall. Students can make a counseling appointment through Counseling & Testing at 940-565-2741 and ask to see the Housing Counselor.

Housing and Residence Life Leadership

The Housing and Residence Life office is located in the UNT Welcome Center and serves as the primary hub for Housing and Residence Life operations. Most general housing inquiries can be addressed at a residence hall’s front desk or by the Assignments Office staff in the Welcome Center at 940-565-2610. For more specific questions or concerns, students may be referred to members of the Housing and Residence Life leadership team. This includes the Associate Directors of Residence Life, who maintain offices in Crumley Hall and oversee residential communities and student support initiatives. Additional leadership, including Directors and the Executive Director of Housing and Residence Life, are also available to assist with departmental matters and student needs.
