
Types of Course Materials are available at the bookstore.

- Physical Textbooks - New & Used to purchase or rent
- Instant Access Codes that are sent to your email (best to use UNT email)
- Physical Access Codes that are a scratch-off code or in an envelope (these are not
emailed to you, must purchase in store or online to pick up or have shipped to you)
- Digital eBooks that are emailed (best to use UNT email)
Ordering Your Course Materials
- You can start ordering as soon as you are registered
- We won’t start processing online orders until late July/early August - we process
online orders based on a first-come, first-served basis. (This is for physical books
and physical access codes)
- So, if you order an instant access or a digital eBook, it will be emailed to you shortly
after you place the order. (Search for digital learning in your email to find them)
- We recommend that you don’t open or download your instant access or digital eBooks,
because you can’t refund them once they have been accessed. (Refund period for textbooks
is available up to one week after classes start, as long as you have your receipt
and they haven’t been downloaded or accessed.)
- Paying for your online order - very important that when checking out, you do not select
“Sponsored Student Payment Button - this button isn’t for FAFSA or Pell Grants, the
University doesn’t allow us to charge to your student account.
- This button, Sponsored Student Payment, is only for VA, TWC, Voc Rehab, and some third-party
scholarship funds that have an account with the bookstore.
- If you select this button and are not one of the above approved, your payment will
fail, and your order will be cancelled.
We Price Match
- We match Amazon if it is shipped and sold by Amazon. It can’t be from a third party.
We price match local competitor (Voortman’s).
- When you are checking out, you can let us know you want to match the price, and we
can look up the textbook and see what we can match. If you order online, when picking
up, you can let us know you want to match the online order, and we can look up the
textbook information and price match when you pick up your order.

What you need to know about renting textbooks
- Regardless of how you are paying, you will need a credit/debit card to secure the
rental
- You can write and highlight in your rental book
- You will need to provide a valid email when you rent a textbook
- For the fall semester, rentals are due on 12/12/25 (for each semester, rentals are
due on the Friday of finals week)
- If you don’t return your rentals, you will be charged a late fee and the replacement
fee for a new book
If you can’t find your Course Materials online or in store, what do you do
- This could happen for a few reasons
- There isn’t a textbook required
- We haven’t received the textbook information from the instructor yet
- If you happen to have your syllabus and the course materials are listed, but we don’t
have them we can use that syllabus to order your materials for you
- Please go to the Textbook desk and ask for assistance
