University of North Texas policy requires new, first-time in college (FTIC) students to live on campus for their first year. Therefore, Housing and Residence Life prioritizes providing room assignments to new, first-time college students.

In order for roommates and suitemates to be placed together, all involved students must have a completed housing application.

Roommate and Suitemate matching will take precedence over hall and room preferences.

After the roommate selection portal closes Housing and Residence Life is unable to guarantee roommate and suitemate assignments.
