Spring 2024 Move-Out

The residence halls close for the Spring 2024 semester at 5 PM on Friday, May 10, 2024. Students who are able to select their same room and list 5/11/2024 for their summer start date will not be required to move out between sessions. If you are a current spring resident moving into a summer space on 5/11/2024, you will be expected to move between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. If you are not beginning your Summer stay on 5/11, you are required to completely vacate, clean your room, and return all keys by Friday (05/10).
 


Residents are expected to be checked out of their room by an RA by that time unless otherwise approved for an extension by Housing.  It is expected that students complete their check-out no more than 24 hours after their last final exam.
 


Residents are asked to provide their planned move-out date through the eHousing portal, using the “Sign up for Move-Out” link. Additional move-out information and Check-Out Time signup will be provided by RAs and residence hall staff leading up to the end of the semester.

Actions to complete a check-out include:

• completing room cleaning and bathroom cleaning tasks
• remove all trash and perishable items
• unplug appliance appliances, clean and defrost refrigerator

UNT Spring 2024 Commencement is scheduled for Friday (5/10) through Sunday (5/12). Please note that the campus will likely experience increased traffic congestion during this period.
