Health and Wellness

Do you like being active or trying to live a healthy life? The Health and Wellness Community will seek to unite students who share an interest in healthy eating, healthy living, and regular exercise on the D100 wing of Maple Hall. If you were a resident on this wing, you would pursue this sort of active lifestyle with the other students living around you, building deep and healthy relationships with each other along the way. By the end of the year, you will hopefully come out with a developed understanding of what a well-rounded adult life looks like and how to maintain health and fitness across the span of your life.

Benefits of living on the Health & Wellness REAL Community include:

  • You could organize groups that visit the Recreation Center together for workouts to help keep each other accountable.
  • Participate in programs that include topics such as: discussion panels about trend diets, demonstrations on healthy meal preparation, how-to presentations on proper weight-lifting techniques and exercise regimens, etc.
  • Maple Hall is very active in Intramural Sports, so your wing could also field its own intramurals teams or you could join some of the other Maple Hall teams.
