Global LearningAre you interested in gaining global experience as a student at UNT?
Are you planning to major in a Foreign Language or International Studies??
The Global Learning Community is designed to help you develop awareness of global issues and other cultures. It will give you the opportunity to live with students who are also studying languages or social, economic and political global issues. You will enroll in:
- A Foreign Language course of choice to count in a major or minor
- INST 2100, Introduction to International Issues, which will satisfy s a University Core requirement
- Three other courses chosen in consultation with advisor to complete a first semester enrollment of 15-16 semester hours
This wing can also offer you the opportunity for:
- Native speaker conversation partners
- Specially designed multicultural activities
- Discussion groups led by faculty using Great Decisions 2009 from The Foreign Policy Association
- Invitations to attend programs by DFW World Affairs Council
- Informational sessions and programs related to Global Learning Abroad
- Opportunity to get to know International Studies or Foreign Language in an informal setting.
