RESIDENTS ENGAGED IN ACADEMIC LIVING

    Emerald Eagle Scholar Community

The Emerald Eagle Scholars Program was created in 2007 for students who are academically talented and are ready to begin their college career here at UNT. In addition to an average cost of tuition and fees guaranteed for four years, Emerald Eagle Scholars also receive mentoring, work study and regular academic and financial advice and guidance from the UNT community, specifically the Emerald Eagle Suite. This year, the UNT Residential Life Office will offer a REAL (Residents Engaged in Academic Living) Community for the Emerald Eagle Scholars who would like to take advantage of a built-in support group to smooth out the transitional period that 1st year college student's face, by living together as a community on the same floor of Kerr Hall.

If you were to join the REAL Community for the Emerald Eagle Scholars Program, you would encounter:

  • Access to a faculty-in-residence advisor
  • Guest speakers and researchers offering information on a variety of career and real world opportunities
