Health Professions

Faculty Advisor: Dr. Amy Petros

Each member of this academic community has one thing in common: an aspiration to enter the health professions field and help others. While there may be a variety of majors present, all students in this community are required to enroll in CHEM 1410: General Chemistry for Science Majors and CHEM 1430: Laboratory Sequence for General Chemistry* during fall 2017.

Opportunities and benefits include:

  • Extra-curricular experiences designed to enhance professional school applications
  • Networking with advisors and prominent professors
  • Field trips to medical schools and science museums
  • Study groups designed specifically to support coursework

The Health Professions Living Learning Community is housed in Maple Hall for the 2017 – 2018 academic year.

*Students who already have credit for these courses will be advised on the exception process at Freshman Orientation.
